What changed
High scores are here. You can keep scores offline or sign in to join the online rankings. High Scores combines your local runs with shared results, while clearly marking which scores are ranked online.
- Scores are separated by game mode and arena class. Each board has weekly, monthly, yearly, and all-time views, with up to 20 rows.
- You can choose an arena class in Settings. Fullscreen follows your display; windowed play offers a set of screen shapes and sizes for testing.
- Local scores and their replays stay available without an internet connection. A ranked run uploads its replay for background review; an invalid score can be removed from the public board.
- Available replays can be watched from High Scores. The replay player has pause, speed, and 10-second jump controls.
- Online Rankings now supports email-code sign-in, a unique public handle, handle changes, and choices for removing your online data. You can always keep playing offline.
- The bottom-left menu link opens hoop's website and changes to
new version!when a newer version is available.
Online rankings are still part of an active playtest. A new public score appears promptly and may change after its replay has been reviewed. Public replay access is limited to retained leading runs; a score can stay on a board after its replay file has been removed.
Desktop downloads
- Windows: install hoop with the setup program. Its checked-by-default option can associate
.thrreplay files with hoop for opening from Explorer; you may uncheck it if another application uses.thr. Your local scores and settings remain on your computer unless you choose to remove them. - Linux: make the AppImage executable and launch it. Saved scores and settings live in your user data directory.
This playtest build is unsigned. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning; signing is planned for a later release.
Windows: run the installer and choose a folder. Linux: mark the AppImage executable, then launch it. Removing the AppImage removes the application; saved data remains in your user-data directory.
