What changed
Wow, playtest round #1 brought a LOT of useful feedback and solid ideas for improvement. Thanks to all involved!
It's led to this new release which is a MASSIVE update. Details below.
Since playtest #1
Updates:
- bot, ball, rewards, hoop, arena floor and background graphics updates;
- visual cue (proximity light-up) for where to be to disable a bot;
- disabling bots permanently (3x);
- disabling bots is harder each time;
- camera zoom behaviour - not too far out;
- added height/shadow readability for ball bounces;
- more reward types and reward expiry blinks;
- rewards that are active for a while stack underneath the game clock;
- multiple game modes;
- highlight if you got a high score;
- exit the game from menu screens.
- fix dynamics for the hoop resting against a bot;
- add an occasional, moving '×2 time zone' while the hoop is inside it;
- add disable-chain multiplier for consecutive bot disables;
- add a game overview/tutorial at first launch.

All the rest :-)

Desktop downloads
- Windows now has an installer with a choice of install folder and a Start menu shortcut. Later installs remember the chosen folder.
- Linux has a single AppImage. Mark it executable and launch it directly.
- Existing Trochos high scores and preferences are copied into hoop's data folder on first launch when hoop has no save of its own. The original files stay in place.
This is an unsigned playtest build. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning; signing is planned for a later release.
Windows: run the installer and choose a folder. Linux: mark the AppImage executable, then launch it. Removing the AppImage removes the application; saved data remains in your user-data directory.
